Save With Purpose.
Build a Stronger Future.
For the farmer planning a harvest. The trader growing a business. The parent preparing for school fees. JMT SACCO helps you take the next step.
Save according to your means, borrow responsibly and learn practical ways to strengthen your household income.
Daily earnings, seasonal harvests or a monthly salary — start with a plan that fits your circumstances.
Rooted in teaching.

Founded by educators in June 2020, JMT SACCO welcomes eligible members from different walks of life who want to plan ahead and improve their livelihoods.

Credit should support your progress.

Financial strength for everyday people.
JMT SACCO began operations on 1 June 2020, founded by educators connected through KAWA Uganda. Our work brings saving, cooperative participation and financial learning closer to teachers and the wider community.
Our vision
To be a leading SACCO supporting financial empowerment and sustainable development for teachers and the wider community, while contributing to quality education in Uganda.
Our mission
To empower teachers and community members through accessible financial services, a strong saving culture and purposeful investment.
of active members supported to strengthen an income-generating activity.
Grow from where you are.
We aim to help farmers, market vendors, traders, artisans and other working people improve an existing source of income and, where practical, develop an additional one.
Our approach combines saving, practical training and access to responsible credit, recognising daily, irregular and seasonal earnings.
This is an ambition for 2030, not a result already achieved. Progress will depend on member participation and available resources.
Our values guide how we serve you:
Bring your goals.

Before you get started
Can I enquire about joining if I am not a teacher?
Yes. JMT SACCO welcomes membership enquiries from farmers, traders, market vendors, artisans, entrepreneurs, parents, salaried workers and other community members. Membership remains subject to approved eligibility requirements and bylaws.
What if my income is irregular or seasonal?
Explain your income pattern to our team. Discuss a realistic saving plan and confirm the contribution requirements. Before taking a loan, make sure its repayment schedule fits your expected cash flow.
What is the difference between savings and shares?
Savings are money held under the terms of your chosen account. Shares represent your ownership stake in the cooperative and have different rules on transfer, withdrawal or exit. Ask for the current terms before contributing.
How much do I need to join?
Contact our office for the latest approved membership fee, share requirements, minimum saving contributions and required documents. Ask for the full schedule so you understand your commitments.
Are loans or dividends guaranteed?
No. Loans require assessment and approval under the current lending policy. Any dividend depends on the SACCO’s available surplus and the required approval.
How do I raise a question or complaint?
Contact the SACCO Manager through the official telephone or WhatsApp number below, or visit the office. Explain the issue and keep any relevant receipts or references. Do not share your PIN or password.
Let us talk about your goals.
